CREATING COMMUNITY THROUGH FOOD
Kahja Elliott
An avid lover of food culture, I created Kay In The Bay as a storytelling platform rooted in community, curiosity, and connection. What began as a personal exploration of the food scene has evolved into a multi-vertical brand bridging food, culture, and conversation.
Kay In The Bay spans digital storytelling, brand partnerships, curated experiences, food travel, freelance writing, and The As Told By Podcast, an in-person interview series where I sit down with some of the most compelling voices in the food world. From award-winning chefs and celebrated restaurateurs to food media leaders, emerging and iconic brands, local legends, and organizations shaping our communities, each conversation centers on the human stories behind the work.
At its core, my work explores how food connects us — to place, to ancestry, to identity, and to one another. I’ve built a community of both industry leaders and curious food lovers who value depth, discovery, and meaningful storytelling. Through thoughtful partnerships and experiences, I collaborate with brands and organizations that understand food is more than a product; it’s culture, memory, and shared experience. My mission is to create spaces where stories are told with intention, with food as a vehicle for connection.
